Douglas V. Meed on assignment with
the U.S. Information Agency circa 1958.
My father, Douglas V. Meed passed away on February 17, 2005.  Not a
day passes that I don't think of him, and miss him terribly.  He was not
only a wonderful father, but one of my very best friends.
I have never endured such sorrow in all my life.  There was nothing
left unsaid between us ever, and for that I'm very thankful.  But
even that does little to comfort the loss.  It has made me more aware
than ever to cherish every moment we have with our friends and
loved ones, for  we, and they, can go at any moment.
